It’s important to take good care of your wig to keep it in top shape.
Never stuff your wig in a bag – always detangle it first and place it in a plastic zip-lock bag. If your wig is longer than the bag, pin-curl the ends so that the hair stays tamed. Let all the air out of the bag, seal it, and you’re good to go!
When you’re not wearing your wig, it’s best to store it on a mannequin head. This will help it keep its shape and prevent it from getting tangled or damaged. If your wig is long, you can also let it hang freely off the dresser or place the mannequin head on a broomstick and put it in a corner to stand.
If your wig is curly, it’s a good idea to give it a fresh shampoo and conditioning treatment as instructed above. After washing, apply a leave-in conditioner and let it drip dry. Then, store your wig in a long plastic bag to keep it safe and protected.
